Moonlight Dwelling

Sitting in the chair of pain filled times
Of when I was all alone
And the flowing tears
Time at a standstill creeping slowly
Driving me insane day after day
Eating away at my soul
At my very essence
As the days go by
Bitter memories
Flashing images
Better kept locked up
Inside a dark corner in my head
Toss away the key
Pacing through this house
Like an intruder stalking
Going around in circles
That never ending nagging
Run out the door
Try to escape from this hellish place
I'm trapped with no way out
Going down the sidewalk
A dark shadow covers the sun
At my back goose bumps appear
Even though it's ninety two degrees
Out here today
Breathing down my neck
Is the Grim Reaper
To lead me to my fate
Panic stricken
I turn to face the grinning skull
Allowing him to lead me away
To what is waiting eagerly for me
