Moonlight Dwelling

Someone is in my closet
I can hear him in the dark
Late at night while I'm in bed
I lay there wondering
Should I go look inside
Or just stay here in my bed
Snug bed stay or go
Chanting again and again
The next thing I hear is my name
Coming from the closet
Telling me to come inside
I get out of bed and turn on the lights
Slowly I walk to the closet
I lift my hand to open the door
End this once and for all
But my hand freezes in midair
The chanting begins again
Run or stay and face what's inside
I can feel the danger
Emanating through the door
Feet are glued to the floor
Couldn't resist the urge to open the door
Was drawn like a magnet
The door flies open
Red is all I can see
He has finally come for me
Gave me a standing invitation to Hell
Reaches out and pulls me in
Hypnotized by the spinning redness
Eyes close falling into a sleep
Never ending and very peaceful
