Well that isn't good when someone confesses and seems to be telling the truth but isn't telling the truth because some magical ball thingie made them think they did what they actually didn't do. I knew something was off about the way that guy just said he did it so of course magic was involved. Apparently Confessors are no match against the magic ball or orb if you prefer to call it that. I guess that has a more magic sound to it.

Kahlan and Richard go off to a couple of her friends who need her help. They happen to be working in the Resistance so of course she wants to help and Zedd goes off to get a key from home so they can hide the box in a crypt. Since it's a magical crypt it requires a key which means that Darken won't be able to get to it which is a good thing of course since it would be bad for him to get all three boxes. It's still three boxes right?

So Zedd goes home and hey there's his brother Thadicus who I don't remember because I don't think he had a brother before although I can't be sure since I haven't gotten around to reading all of the books yet. That dude looked familiar but the hair was throwing me. I think he was on Xena with different hair. Well a lot of them have no hair but this dude had different hair more like wizard hair but he isn't a wizard. It turns out that Mom is dead but they didn't say anything about Dad except for his tendency to smack Zedd's knuckles.

His brother is a good cook but he resented the fact that Zedd left him to care for their mother and it turns out that she died five years before. It's not like he could have called or something through the boundary so the brother is plenty ticked. Zedd gets a bit ticked himself when Thadicus reveals that he sold stuff which he gambled away and hey that loan shark or whatever they call them in that time came to collect was yet another familiar face. What I'm a Xena fan so I'm going to recognize those I've seen on the show. Zedd came back and saved him because he wanted to leave on good terms since he could end up dead.

Well that magic org thingie isn't very good because it allows you to put memories into another person's head about something they didn't do and make it seem like they did it and Richard got whammied too but Zedd yanked it out of his head. He should have done the same for Nella while he was at it. So now Kahlan is feeling all guilty because she sentenced that dude Niles to death when she confessed him and he was just a thief. Well that wasn't her fault and hey she figured it out in time to save Nella and that dude Deklin or Decklin or however the hell you spell it will die by nightfall but at least he told them about men coming for Richard so they were able to leave.

Why don't they have horses? Wouldn't that make better time? Hell Xena had a horse but Gabby didn't most of the time and Kahlan seems to be able to outrun horses. Maybe that's a Confessor thing. I think they should get horses so they can get to that crypt and hide the box before they run into Rahl's men but no one's listening to me. I do wonder about this magic crypt where another Seeker was buried. I would imagine that will be a little weird for Richard since he's the current Seeker.
