Moonlight Dwelling

Close my eyes and dream
Of how things should be
A happy time with no sadness
Never gloomy always smiling
Things fall into place
Instead of crushing into dust
Pounded down in the ground
No way to fall down
Always climbing up
Never help when I st art to slip
Open my eyes to this hell
Welcome to my own reality
Everything goes wrong never right
Time passes oh so slowly
Dragging on and on
Pray for my sweet death
No one is my friend
Emotionally battered and scarred
Haunting reminders of who I am
Stranger peering out of the mirror
Don't know who I am anymore
No control of anything
Fate has taken its course
A path full of holes and rocks
Just waiting for me to stumble
And fall into one of them
Swallow me up whole
