Moonlight Dwelling

My heart is broken
Into tiny pieces
Shattered on the floor
Never will be whole again
Try to tape it together
Or use some glue
But to no avail
Laying at my feet
Ripped out
Torn in half
Stamped under your heel
Just a pile of dust
Took my heart
Is yours to keep
To do what you will
Key to  unlock it
Pounding in my heaving chest
Hate is all that's left
Nothing exists for me anymore
All due to you and your abuse
Broken bones and shattered feelings
Until nothing is left of me
Eaten up by the blinding pain
Till I'm no more
No band aid can fix this
And stop the bleeding
Filling me up inside
Just an empty vessel
Of someone who once lived
But is no longer alive
