Fish Guts

"I'm covered in fish guts."

Ethan stood there in the cannery covered in fish guts. It was strange but it actually felt good. He felt all tingly.

 "Stop that girl."

Theresa had to get away fast.

"You've got to help me Alice."

Alice looked at Ethan Crane and noticed that he had a smile on his face.

"Theresa look at Ethan."

Theresa looked and saw him smiling at her. She thought she might be daydreaming since he couldn't be happy that once again she ended up dumping something on him and this time was just the worst since it was fish guts. She decided to pinch herself and it hurt. He was still smiling. Ethan ignored Gwen as he walked over to Theresa.

"Oh my god he's walking towards me."

Theresa just kept looking at Ethan who continued to smile.

"You're the girl that keeps dumping stuff on me aren't you?"

Theresa didn't know what to say so she just nodded.

"Even in that horrible outfit I can see how absolutely gorgeous you are."

Theresa smiled and at that moment knew that Ethan would be hers.

"Thank you. I'm so sorry about spilling things on you. It really was an accident. I'm not stalking you."

"I believe you."

Gwen called out to Ethan but he ignored her because he was lost in the brown eyes of this beauty and he didn't even know her name.

"I'm Ethan Crane."

"Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald."

Ethan held out his arm for Theresa and the two walked out arm in arm.

"Ethan what are you doing?"

Ethan continued to ignore Gwen as they walked out.

"So you aren't mad about the fish guts?"

"No I'm glad you dumped fish guts on me. I remember reading something about fish guts revealing your one true love."

"Really?"

Theresa had never heard about that but she knew that fate would bring Ethan to her. She just didn't know it would be in such a ridiculous way. She didn't even mind that he smelled of fish guts. Maybe they could have fish at their wedding reception as a way to remember the day they were finally brought together. And she loved the look on Gwen's face as Ethan walked away.
