Moonlight Dwelling

It wasn't easy being Fluffy because he was a slimy dog and of course he was named Fluffy. He had no idea what his parents were thinking when they gave him that name. So he decided to take off to see if he could find a new name. While he was walking along he saw something that appeared to be a hole. He could see a meadow but it didn't make sense because he was walking down the street so he should have seen the sidewalk. He decided to walk through and found himself in another place.

Fluffy looked around and didn't see anyone around. He decided to take a nap before he went off to explore. He curled up and fell asleep and started dreaming about a dog that wasn't slimy. He wondered if it was possible to be a dog and not be slimy. It must be nice to not be slimy he thought as he continued to dream about this dog that had fur the color of tree bark. He woke up to the sound of someone calling out.

"Hello."

Opening his eyes Fluffy found a dog standing before him.

"Oh hello."

"What are you doing here?"

"I was taking a nap."

He noticed that this appeared to be the dog from his dream or a twin.

"Why are you slimy?"

"I was always slimy sadly."

"Oh you poor thing. Why don't you try the river."

Fluffy wasn't sure what she meant but he followed her. 

"Go on jump in."

"Okay."

Fluffy jumped into the water. It felt really good so he stayed in for a while and even paddled around a bit. He was glad that he took the time to learn how to doggie paddle so he didn't look like a total moron around this dog whose name he didn't even know.

"Uh thanks for telling me about this place. What's your name?"

"I'm Kalera."

"What a pretty name. It's really nice to meet you Kalera. My name is Fluffy."

He waited for her to start laughing which was the typical reaction when people met Fluffy. Once again he cursed his parents for giving him such an awful name. She didn't laugh instead she smiled at him.

"It's nice to meet you Fluffy. What an interesting name."

Fluffy wasn't sure how to react to that so he said nothing and continued to enjoy the water.
