Okay I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show instead of being a person that goes insane when things differ so much from the book to the screen. That's to be expected so I'll just view them as two separate things that I enjoy. Richard, Kahlan, and Zedd find Dragon Core which are men in Rahl's army or whatever. No I'm not even going to mention that. A guy brings a little boy and the guy who looks familiar although the lack of hair is throwing me buys the kid. This is no ordinary kid since he just so happens to be a Listener. Now I'm thinking you're going what the hell is a listener? It is basically someone that can read your thoughts so it is just another way of saying mind reader. I'm not so sure I'd want to have this kid around reading my thoughts. Hell I'm not even sure what I'm thinking a lot of the time so the thought of someone else knowing just doesn't sit well with me.

Kahlan of course is focused on getting Darken Rahl and Richard of course wants to save the kid. They decide to follow. Zedd does some magic because of course changing your hair color and adding a beard makes you look all shiny and new. Wasn't there supposed to be a spell where no one actually knew who he was. He comes out pretending that he wants to get to Darken. He uses the name Rannick which is a name that I'm familiar with so I'm wondering if the person does show up later. It turns out that one of the men isn't so loyal to Darken Rahl which gets him in heaps of trouble. You can't fool the kid that can see inside your head. That just sounds like a big headache to me unless of course you can control it.

Richard takes his shot and ends up rescuing the kid who was a big pain in the ass. So there wasn't a good first impression but I guess you can't blame the kid since he was just passed around and sold off to people who just used him. He did take advantage of that since he was quite the blackmailer. Kahlan wants to take him off to Zander. Okay I'm not sure about the spelling and didn't check the close captioned but that's close enough. This is where the Sisters of Light live and where Kahlan and her sister lived. It came out that her Father wasn't such a great guy because he took advantage of his daughters powers. Oh that's nice but at least he didn't sell them like that poor Listener kid.

The kid is a big pain in the ass which leads to him revealing his location. Don't start screaming when the nice people are trying to save you from the evil man. Richard ends up getting hurt and the kid learns that he was a big jackass. He just isn't used to people wanting to help him since other people always have motives in being nice to him and Richard didn't. They are on their way to drop him off with the Sisters when the boy's father shows up. He goes with him and of course Daddy sells him back to the same guy that bought him before. Of course his reasoning was that this was only his stepson. So it is okay to sell children just as long as they aren't your own kids. That's a nice way of life isn't it.

The guy who gets revealed as a traitor ends up in quite a bind so he gets mad at Zedd because he did release him so he was able to escape. Sadly that didn't last long because he froze the guy. It was like Piper but not a girl and a wizard instead of a witch. He gets chained up and has to walk alongside the horses. They are about to kill the guy. Hey that is a bit extreme to kill a guy who singing even if it was bad singing. Zedd stops them and tells them that he's under an enchantment which allows him enough time to cast a spell. The guy turns into a bird and flies away. Mr Bad Baldy Guy doesn't like that so he is suspicious of Zedd.

Zedd ends up getting tied up since binding the hands prevents people from using their magic which is why Kahlan wigged out when Richard wanted to tie the kids hands together. Would it have worked on him since he just reads their minds which doesn't require any hand gestures? So things aren't looking good for Zedd but with the Listener on the case not to mention a smart kid he ends up casting doubts all over the place by saying this man and that man were working together and he even threw in a few of them are sleeping with your wife which led to fighting. That gave the kid the chance to untie Zedd and it helped that Richard and Kahlan arrived to help out.

He went with his Dad because he knew that Richard and Kahlan would have been killed if he didn't go with him. So maybe the kid isn't such a pain after all. They do end up taking him to Zander. So you have to say some magic words to open the rock wall. It looks like a nice place and some kid named Henry was there expecting him since he has powers too. So now the kid has a home and Richard and the others are off to that place that the bird turned back to a guy mentioned to Richard. He went to check on his family which is understandable. The funny thing is that the place doesn't exist anymore since it happens to be buried under a bunch of rocks so who knows why Darken is going there. I'll just have to wait and see.
