Essie was pissed off. She was trying to help Drew and he thanked her by pushing her into her coffin and locking her in. She started banging on the lid.
"Very funny Drew now let me out."
All Essie could hear was the clank of the chains that Drew wrapped around the coffin so there was no way she was getting out. He didn't say a word as Essie continued to pound on the lid of her coffin.
"I am so killing him when I get out of here."
She continued to call out and pound on the coffin but no one seemed to be around. Using her powers Essie sent out a distress call to anyone who happened to come within range. While Essie was waiting she thought of what she'd do to Drew when she got out. Finally she heard someone removing the chains and opening the lid.
"Are you alright?"
Standing over her was a tall, dark, and handsome man with piercing blue eyes. She wasn't even sure that she'd be able to speak.
"Who you?"
Oh great that was brilliant Essie thought to herself.
"My name is Caleb."
If Essie was still human she'd be blushing right about now. She looked up at the handsome vampire.
"I'm Essie."
Taking her hand he kissed the back of it.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Essie."
"Where did you come from?"
"I heard your call."
Essie heard someone calling her name.
"Essie!"
Essie felt a shaking that was really annoying her because it was distracting her from the hot vampire.
"Stop it you're making me seasick."
Essie opened her eyes to find Merril leaning over her. She was lying in her coffin. She sat up and looked around.
"Where's Caleb?"
"Who?"
"The hot guy that let me out of my coffin."
"That was me Essie. I just came back for a book and found the chains on your coffin."
Essie could have sworn the guy was real.
"It must have been a dream."
If only he were real Essie thought.
