Richard couldn't understand why it was such a big deal that Dennee had a boy.

"Am I missing something here?"

Kahlan looked at Richard realizing that he had no idea what happened when a male child was born to a Confessor.

"A male is rarely born to a Confessor but when one is the parents must eat him."

Richard stared at Kahlan thinking he must have heard wrong.

"I'm sorry I thought you said the parents had to eat the baby."

"That's right."

"You can't go around eating babies."

"Richard it's tradition."

"Well screw tradition."

Richard snatched the baby out of Kahlan's arms and ran.
