Osaka was so thrilled to get a kitty that she decided to go over to Chiyo-Chan's house. Putting her kitty who still renamed nameless into a backpack that was unzipped so the kitty could poke her head out she walked over to her friends house thinking about names.
"Hmm what should I name you?"
Osaka looked up at the blue sky. It was such a pretty day.
"Blue Sky?"
She looked around her and saw some roses.
"Ooh maybe Rose."
She just couldn't come up with a name for her kitty.
"Maybe Chiyo-Chan can help me."
She walked up to Chiyo-Chan's gate and rang the bell.
"Wow what a house with a gate and a way to screen your guests. I guess it's like screening your phone calls. You don't answer if you don't like who you see."
The gate opened and Osaka walked up to Chiyo-Chan's front door. Chiyo-Chain had the door opened and was waiting for her along with her dog Mr Tadakichi.
"Uh stand back I have a kitty and I don't want your dog to eat her."
Chiyo-Chan was used to Osaka's weirdness but she shooed Mr Tadakichi inside.
"Thank you. I'm coming now."
"So you have a kitty?"
Osaka reached for her backpack and showed it to Chiyo-Chan. The kitty was sticking her head out of the backpack.
"Aw she's adorable."
"But I don't think I'll be able to ride her."
"Okay."
Chiyo-Chan thought Osaka was a wonderful person but she could be really weird at times.
"I want to get her some stuff at the pet store. I was wondering if you'd like to come along with me."
"Sure I need to get some dog biscuits for Mr Tadakichi."
"Are you taking Mr Tadakichi?"
"Well if you're worried about your kitty I won't but he won't eat her."
"I never even thought about that."
"I thought that's why you didn't want me to have him around."
"I was just afraid that she'd jump out of my backpack and he'd step on her."
Chiyo-Chan just nodded because she had no idea what to say about that. She'd never heard of a dog stepping on a kitten before but this was Osaka she was dealing with so who knows what goes on inside that girl's head she thought to herself.
"Do you think I could ride him? It would be like traveling through the jungle on an elephant while we're scouting for food and water."
"Um I think you might be too big for him to carry."
"Okay then let's go."
Osaka and Chiyo-Chan walked over to the pet store. Osaka was wearing her backpack on her back and the kitten was poking her head out. They went inside the store.
"First I need to get her some food."
Since Chiyo-Chan often went to the pet store to buy things for Mr Tadakichi she knew where the cat food was. Osaka looked at the food lost in thought. Chiyo-Chan knew it could take a while before she snapped out of it so she went off to get some dog biscuits and a bone. When she came back she saw Osaka talking to a salesperson.
"Do they have mice flavored cat food?"
"No miss there is no such thing."
Osaka thought that was odd because cats liked mice so they should have something mice flavored.
"Okay thanks for your help."
The salesperson walked off wondering about that strange girl's sanity.
"Mice flavored cat food?"
She wondered if the girl escaped from a loony bin but the girl didn't seem scary and she had a cat so she was probably just a weird kid or maybe on drugs.
"So did you decide what you're going to get your kitty?"
"I'm not sure. I thought of what would be the best possible cat food flavor if I was a cat but they don't have it. I wonder if they have a suggestion box. I'm sure cats would love mice flavored cat food."
Oskaka looked around at the food and decided to get chicken.
"Hmm I wonder if I could eat this too."
"So have you thought of a name yet?"
"Yes I'm calling her Bubbles."
"Bubbles?"
"Yes bubbles are fun and kitties are fun so Bubbles she is."
