I'll admit that I tend to groan with the overuse of Pilot for the first episode. No one has contacted me for the naming of Pilots although I'll do it for cheap. They took it and changed it so I'm not quite so annoyed because at least they put some thought into it instead of just going with plain old boring Pilot. Am I thinking too much about that? I guess I could be but come on is it really all that difficult to name the first episode once you have the thumbs up from the network? You'll have to name the others so why not the first one?

Now I didn't watch simply because Daisies happen to be my favorite flower but because it looked interesting and it's always nice to have a familiar face in a show although that isn't always a sure bet on whether I like a show or not. Actually duh there are two familiar faces because Swoosie is another and Chi would be the one I was thinking of before I realized that there are two actors on this show that I know about. Sure I wasn't that crazy about Chi on House since he was kind of an asshole but I like the man and enjoyed him on Boston Public and as Emerson I just adore him.

So Ned has this special power that allows him to bring the dead back to life but it comes with a price since everything seems to. He discovers this when his dog Digby gets run over by a truck that doesn't even stop. What an asshole if you ask me and no I know you haven't asked me because I'm not even sure if anyone is going to read this or not. His Mom keels over while baking a pie but he brings her back not realizing that someone will die in her place. Chuck is the next door neighbor and the girl Ned is totally in love with. Her Dad dies when his Mom is brought back which really isn't his fault because he didn't know. It makes me wonder if the truck driver died when Digby was brought back or if another animal died in his place.

Ned is all grown up and has a pie place called The Pie Hole. I do wonder why he'd be all into pies when Mom died baking one at least the first time she died since she died again for good when she kissed him goodnight. Now that just sucks. Emerson is his partner who uses Ned's gift to help catch murderers and of course collect the reward money. They go to the morgue where Ned wakes the dead person up to find out who murdered them but things don't go so smoothly when Chuck ends up as a victim. How embarrassing to be suffocated with a bag that has a smiley face on it.

Instead of touching her to make Chuck dead again Ned just can't do it since he has the guilt over the death of her Dad not to mention he's still in love with her. So it's going to be a challenge since they can't touch because she'll be dead again if he does. So this would be one weird show but that's what I love about it and the characters are a hoot. Poor Aunt Lillian and Aunt Vivian who are stuck in the house thinking their niece Chuck is dead. Ouch be careful around the kitty litter since that's how Aunt Lillian lost her eye. Can you imagine that? I have no clue how many times I've had something go in my eye including an eyeliner, mascara, and a leaf of all things but thankfully no permanent damage since I have both peepers intact.
