Stella's First

A loud scream woke Brandon up out of a sound sleep. He reached over for Stella but she wasn't there. He grabbed his robe that was hanging on a hook and put it on. He grabbed his sword that was hanging on the wall more for show than actual use these days and started running when he heard Stella scream again.

"Stella are you all right?"

He found her on the bathroom floor sobbing.

"Snookums."

"What's wrong?"

Stella pointed at her head.

"It's absolutely hideous."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

She tugged on a hair and help it up. Brandon went closer so he could see the hair that had so badly upset Stella. It was a grey hair.

"Now do you understand why I'm so upset?"

Brandon understood perfectly since King Raydias pulled Brandon aside before he married Stella to warn him about the inevitable day that would come when Stella would find a grey hair.

"Yes dear and I have something your Father gave me for this day since he knew it would come."

"So Daddy talked to you about this."

"Yes he did."

"I miss Daddy."

"I know you do but we can always visit him."

"It was nice of Arcadia to allow me to visit him in the Crystal Labyrinth."

"Yes it was."

Stella patted her belly.

"We'll go see him so he can meet his grandchild when she enters the world."

"Absolutely."

"But first there's a big problem here."

"What oh you mean the hair?"

"Yes the hair Brandon! I found a grey hair."

"Yes sweetie but that's not such a big deal."

"Not a big deal!"

Brandon regretted saying anything. He should have known better than to say anything about such a sensitive subject.

"Miss F is great and all but have you seen her hair?"

Brandon just looked at Stella allowing her to talk.

"It's all grey but that shape is just weird. What was her hairdresser thinking? Would it be rude of me to slip her the number of mine to help her out what that serious hair don't?"

"That's a thought."

"Then there's Miss Griffen with what looks like a pile of crap on her head."

Brandon couldn't help but laugh because now that she mentioned it she did have a point.

"Hi you guys is everything all right? I thought I heard some screaming."

Brandon looked at Mirta and kept laughing unable to speak.

"Hi Mirta. I was just talking about how Miss Griffen's hair looks like a pile of crap on her head."

"It's the wrong color though," Brandon managed to get out before he burst into laughter again.

Mirta started giggling.

"From the laughter I'm going to assume that you agree with me."

"I've always liked the color of her hair but yeah it does look like a pile of crap on her head."

Mirta looked around like she expected her old teacher to pop out.

"Mirta don't worry Miss G won't be popping out after all she's in Magix."

"Sorry she still kind of scares me."

"Me too."

"Are you all right Stella? Why were you talking about Miss Griffen's hair anyway?"

"The worst thing happened. I found a grey hair. What am I going to do?"

"Let's sit down."

Mirta walked Stella over to a chair and had her sit down.

"Don't worry there's a very easy solution to this problem."

"Really?"

"There's this potion that every witch learns how to make that allows you to retain your natural hair color."

"Can you whip me up some?"

"No need there's some in the bathroom."

"Really?"

Mirta walked in to the bathroom and went to the cabinet where she found a bottle.

"Where did this come from?"

"Your father."

"Daddy?"

"Yeah he took Brandon aside before your wedding and gave it to him. You should talk to Brandon about this."

"So how does this stuff work?"

"You just use it when you wash your hair."

"I don't have to say a spell or something."

"No just put it in your hair and rinse it out five minutes laters."

"Thanks MIrta that's a big load off. I would hate to have my hair turn grey on me."

"That's something we just can't avoid since I found a grey hair too the other day."

"Isn't it awful?"

"Yes it is but it helps that we have this potion to get rid of those nasty little hairs."

Stella hugged Mirta.

"I'm so glad you're here with me."

"Well I am here to help you deliver your baby."

"I'm just so glad that I'll at least have one friend around for that day."

"You still haven't heard from the others."

"Well Bloom's pregnant too so she can't really travel but I haven't heard anything from Flora or Tecna and I think Layla's off honeymooning with Nabu so it looks like it'll just be the two of us."
