Maybe I'm just having a stupid moment but the whole damn ruby thing went over my head. Okay you found a ruby so what in the hell does that have to do with a dam? The past comes back to Emerson in the form of an old rival ending up dead and of course he ends up getting hired to find out who murdered the dude.

We finally meet Emerson's baby mama who is a familiar face to Joss fans since it is Gina and the daughter is named Penny and she was pretty darn cute. She turns up because she wants Emerson to clear her even though the dead dude already fingered her for the killer. Since Emerson learned that love makes you stupid when he was younger when he fell in love with the school principal and it looks like he was quite the dresser back then too. Oh what a way to go to be flushed out and sent flying. There he meets the Doctor from Star Trek Voyager is on the case too and since the dam takes your damn picture when you go in and out there was a picture of Lilah right before the guy ended up dead.

Randy is back and he's just adorable but Olive calls things off with him which sends Chuck and Ned into matchmaking mode. I think the comment made in the last episode of jealousy wasn't about feelings getting stirred up by seeing Olive with another man but by the fact that she could touch him while he can't directly touch Chuck unless he wanted to make her dead again. At first she was going to use him as a fling to get over Ned but I think she might be giving the guy a try after all she came to the conclusion that she falls for guys that are unattainable like guys from Canada. Well a few come to mind like Victor Webster but at that thought my brain just turned to mush after all he's pretty darn hot.

Also oh crap I've forgotten her name came back along with Bubblegum so Emerson ends up telling her about Penny. Emerson should really give some tips to Ned and Chuck or as she named herself the Alive Again Avenger because they were chatting in the car when they got into her trunk to find out what she was up to. So the next time you are going to do that make sure you keep it zipped instead of chatting away like you were somewhere where you could actually talk. But there was just something off about the picture of Lilah going out because the face wasn't seen and yes that means someone else was trying to frame Lilah. Well she's a good person to frame since she's a con artist that was going to con this dude when she met Emerson who fell for her hard which resulted in little Penny getting born.

So the bad guy was caught and maybe next time you dress in drag you might want to shave first. Emerson wanted to take Penny and it looked like Lilah was going to let him but of course she's a con artist so she ended up tricking him but when the car went by Penny did wave at him so he at least got to see his little girl. Poor Emerson but he did get good news about his book because it's going to be published. Okay but would Penny need it to help find Emerson when she already knows where he is? Am I having another dumb moment? Damn I'm going to miss this show and once again I curse you ABC for being so damn stupid.
