What Will Never Be

Stars shining brightly in the night
A blanket of black velvet
Displaying sparkling diamonds
Seem close enough to touch
Outstretched hand reaching out
To pluck one down from the sky
To show my deep love for you
Always a reminder of what we share
To last for all eternity
So deep it can’t be broken
Out of this life and into the next
Never knowing the darkness
Constantly surrounded by light
Wrapped up in a bow
Dangling from a gold chain
Close and dear to my heart
Leading and guiding me along
Always there to help me up
When I stumble and fall
A passion oh so strong
Deep as the blue sea and beyond
Floating up to the clouds
A constant adventure
To be shared with my love
